Orange Muffins - made in the food processor

1 whole orange
1 cup sugar (I use 1/2 cupish)
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
2 cup SR flour
1/2 tea spoon bicarb





Heat oven 200C
Place in food processor whole orange cut into pieces (yes everything), sugar, oil, milk and egg.
Blend
Add flour and bicarb and blend again for a few seconds
Spoon into greased muffin tins.
Bake for 15min

Garlic Twists


1 quantity of pizza dough
fresh garlic
butter









Soften butter
Peel garlic and put through a garlic press
Mix garlic thoroughly through butter

Preheat oven to 200°C.
Line a large baking tray with grease proof paper.
Cut dough into 4 portions.
Cut each portion into 4 pieces.
Roll 1 piece into a long sausage shape.
Cut sausage shape in half lengthways.
Flatten both lengths slightly and spread with garlic butter.
Twist strips together, pressing ends to secure.
Place on prepared tray.
Repeat with remaining dough.
Sprinkle with a little salt.
Bake for 10mins or until crisp and golden.
Serve warm.

Try other ingredients for fillings like different cheeses and herbs etc.

Pizza Dough


  • 7g sachet dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon caster sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  1. Combine 3/4 cup warm water, yeast, sugar and salt in a jug.

  1. Whisk with a fork to dissolve.

  1. Cover with plastic wrap.

  1. Set aside in a warm place for 5 minutes or until bubbles appear on the surface.


  1. Sift flour into a bowl.

  1. Add yeast mixture and oil.

  1. Mix to form a soft dough.

  1. Turn onto a lightly floured surface.

  1. Knead for 10 minutes or until elastic. (I used my Kenwood Mixer)

  1. Place in a lightly greased bowl.

  1. Cover with plastic wrap.

  1. Stand in a warm place for 25 to 30 minutes or until dough has doubled in size.


  1. Use your fist to punch dough down.

  1. Knead on a lightly floured surface until smooth.
